Can my street be cleaned between schedules?
Yes, if your street becomes littered contact the Council Depot on 01784 446411 to register your enquiry. Justified complaints will generally be restored to nationally recognised standards by the end of the next working day. The standards for works are detailed in the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

If I should find a discarded syringe or needle what should I do with it?
Never pick up a discarded or dumped needle or syringe. Please contact direct services on 01784446401 and we will arrange for trained operatives to safely remove them.

What areas are covered?
The street cleansing operatives clean all Highway areas on their scheduled visits.

Who is responsible for emptying litterbins?
Our street cleansing service ensures that litterbins are emptied on a regular basis.  Please contact direct services 01784446401 if you wish to report a full bin

How do I get rid of dumped rubbish in my road?
We will aim to remove all dumped rubbish and fly tipping from your road within 48 hours of the waste being reported to us, as long as the rubbish is on Council land.  Evidence will be collected to establish who has dumped this rubbish, which may result in prosecution.
Hazards on the road
Road hazards such as oil spills or dangerous obstructions should be reported to Surrey County Council on 08456009009 or www.surreycc.gov.uk
Dead Animals
