Brief CV I have lived in Spelthorne for 27 years. I am a fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing, a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. I also hold various IT qualifications. I have worked as a volunteer mentor for The Surrey Education Business Partnership (EBP) schools mentoring programme.

My background is Marketing, PR, communications and IT. Seventeen years working as European Marketing Manager for a major PLC and eight years working as a Process Analyst for a multi national.

Prior to this I trained as a pharmacy technician and food technologist specialising in coffee and tea.      

Since 2003 I have served on many Council committees and chaired a number of task groups.  As a Ward Member for Ashford North and Stanwell South I chaired the Stanwell Area Forum 2003/4/5/6. I also spent a year as Deputy Chairman of the Planning committee.

I became involved with Spelthorne Neighbourhood Watch in 2003 as Treasurer and Chairman during 2004/5/6. During this time I secured funding for a paid part time NHW administrator and introduced the unique Spelthorne NHW banner and sign.

I am currently part of the Unit Management Committee for Staines & Egham Sea Cadets, serving as Secretary with responsibility for Marketing and PR. I am also Treasurer for the Spelthorne & Elmbridge MS Society.
 
My interests: Community safety, crime prevention, helping to combat antisocial behaviour, youth and community engagement, I am also committed to working in partnership with agencies for the wellbeing of Spelthorne. I am also keen to help protect our environment
.
