Filming in Spelthorne

Spelthorne is home to Shepperton and Halliford Film Studios and has proved popular in recent years for many films, TV productions and advertisements.

The Borough of Spelthorne is situated in the north of Surrey, located 15 miles south west of Central London. The major centres are Ashford, Shepperton, Stanwell, Sunbury-on-Thames and Staines-upon-Thames all having their own distinctive characteristics with no physical boundaries between them.

The River Thames runs through the Borough and provides a focal point.

Many of Spelthorne's attractive parks and open spaces are situated by the river and include:-

  • Lammas Recreation Park, Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 4XZ
  • Laleham Park, Laleham, TW18 1SS
  • Rivermead Island, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 5QY
  • Studios Walk, Shepperton, TW17 0QT

Filming in the Borough

You will need the following to film in the Borough

  • Insurance
    All productions to have 3rd party public liability insurance in place to the minimum of £10 million pounds

  • Risk Assessments/Method Statement
    Risk Assessments and method statements are required for all projects

Fees

Fees start from £750 and are individually assessed.

Student films will be judged on a case to case basis.
