Environmental Health covers a wide variety of areas which include food hygiene, health and safety, dealing with poor housing conditions and disrepair. We also investigate noise nuisance, monitor air quality, deal with contaminated land and some issues involving public health.
The Licensing team cover taxi (Hackney Carriage) and private hire, gambling, street trading and charitable collections (street, house-to-house), alcohol(person and premises) and public entertainment.

Pest Control
Pest Control Service Spelthorne has arranged with a private contractor to carry out necessary treatments in domestic properties for rats and a variety of other pests at a discounted rate.
Food safety
Our Commercial Environmental Health team is responsible for ensuring that food which is prepared, produced, cooked and sold within the Borough is safe, clean and fit to eat.
Nuisance
The Environmental Protection Act 1990 Part III requires the Council to investigate allegations of statutory nuisance.
