Trees
Trees create a green and calming environment for our residents by contributing to the appearance and character of our Borough.
Important trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs). Trees in conservation areas are also protected.
We are monitoring our local woodland for evidence of the deadly fungus that is killing Ash trees. The majority of cases of Ash dieback that have been found across the UK are in mature woodland sites. As yet, we have not discovered any Ash trees suffering from the outbreak but will update the website if this changes.
