Multiplier
The multiplier is set for each financial year by Central Government for the whole of England. This does not apply in revaluation years when the multiplier will be adjusted to reflect changes in the overall total of rateable values for England. The multiplier for 2011/12 has been set at 0.433p. The small business multiplier for 2011/12 has been set at 0.426p.
