Food safety
Our Commercial Environmental Health team is responsible for ensuring that food which is prepared, produced, cooked and sold within the Borough is safe, clean and fit to eat. Environmental Health Practitioners do this by:
  • inspecting food premises within the district;
  • investigating all cases of food poisoning;
  • investigating food complaints;
  • carrying out formal and informal sampling;
  • providing advice to food businesses within the area
