The Spelthorne Community Learning Partnership (SCLP) is the learning and skills arm of the Local Spelthorne Partnership and is working towards achieving the targets of the Community Plan and Spelthorne Learning Plan. Its objective is to increase learning opportunities and achievement for the benefit of the local community.The SCLP is represented by a wide range of organisations working for the benefit of the Spelthorne learning and non-learning community. Partners include the Borough and County Councils, schools, colleges, Royal Holloway University, Spelthorne Chamber of Commerce, the voluntary and health sector, Surrey Care Trust, Surrey Education Business Partnership, NACRO and others. SCLP AimsThe partnership aim is to encourage lifelong learning and skills in Spelthorne by promoting collaboration, researching local learning needs and delivering innovative solutions to local issues. Through our work we endeavour to maximise the contribution of learning to local regeneration and social inclusion. SCLP PrioritiesOur main priorities focus on expanding family learning, raising basic skills with outreach learning in the community, increasing retention and participation with 14-19 year olds, providing vocational courses, promoting information and guidance on learning and work and researching local need.
