At 6am on 1 July 2007 The Health Act (2006) became law and this means that it is illegal to smoke in enclosed public and workplaces in England, in fact anywhere in the UK.The new law ensures that most of us will be able to work, socialise, relax, travel and shop in enclosed environments free from secondhand smoke.
