Level 2 award in food safety in catering course


The Commercial Environmental Health Team at Spelthorne Borough Council are responsible for ensuring that food which is prepared, produced, cooked and sold within the Borough is safe, clean and fit to eat. Environmental Health Practitioners do this by:
  • inspecting food premises within the district;
  • investigate all cases of food poisoning;
  • investigate food complaints;
  • carry out formal and informal sampling;
  • provide advice to food businesses within the area
