Walking for health scheme
| Taking part in half an hour of moderate physical activity on five or more days of the week will benefit your health. It will reduce your risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and obesity and will also help to reduce stress and make you feel good. Activities such as walking, cycling, swimming, dancing and gardening will all benefit your health if it carried out at a moderate level. Moderate activity should make you breathe slightly harder and feel a bit warmer than normal, but you should be able to talk and be active at the same time. |
