Staines Community Centre is a two-storey building located in the heart of Staines town centre, adjacent to Debenhams and opposite the library. The Centre is primarily aimed at people aged 50 or over with the first floor providing activities to keep the mind and body active, including yoga, dancing, computer classes, foreign language courses, hairdressing and chiropody. Downstairs is the Riverside Retreat Café which is open to everyone for Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. Membership is £8 for Spelthorne Borough residents and £12 for non residents. Membership entitles you to reduced rates for all our activities and 10% discount at the Riverside Retreat café. You must be a member to benefit from chiropody and hairdressing

There are however pay and display parking facilities opposite, both of which have disabled parking bays: Buses:  Staines Bus Station is situated 200 yards from the Centre.
If you have trouble using public transport contact Spelride on 01784 446253 for transportation to the Centre.

This section provides information on a few of the various services and facilities available at Staines Community Centre Chiropody
Appointments are available with our chiropodist every Wednesday and Friday and need to be booked in advance
Computer courses
Beginners and intermediate computers courses are available on a one to one basis which need to be booked in advance
Extend
This is a gentle exercise to music aimed primarily at those who have limited mobility. It improves strength, mobility, co-ordination and balance. All abilities can participate in this as it can cater for individuals needs including those in wheelchairs
Hairdressing
There is a hairdresser at the centre from Monday to Friday and appointments can be made by telephoning the Centre office.
Shop
There is a small shop which sells basic day to day items as well as cards and second hand books.
Outings and social events
There are various daytime and evening outings available to members of the Centre throughout the year.
Evening events are also organised at the centre. Please see the monthly newsletter for information on the different events and their costs. Therapists
A therapist visits the Centre every Thursday from 10am–4pm and offers reflexology, Indian head massage and aromatherapy.
An acupuncturist visits the Centre every Tuesday and Wednesday between 9.30am and 4.30pm All therapists’ prices are reduced for registered members to the centre, however prices are determined by the therapists themselves. Back to top Room Hire
Staines Community Centre has three rooms available for hire, the Main Hall which caters for approximately 56 people, the Function Room which holds up to 40 people and the Meeting Room which holds up to 12 people. This venue is licensed and suitable for a variety of functions, parties, some exercise classes, meetings and breakfast seminars. Catering can also be provided. Evening hires are 5 – 11pm with all day hire available at weekends. Breakfast hires can be arranged as required.
