Land and property in the Council is managed by Asset Management. Mission statement Asset Management provides assets in Spelthorne that are both appropriate and of high quality, to meet the needs of service users.  Contact us by e-mail asset.management@spelthorne.gov.uk or Asset Management Administration on 01784-446236 Overview The Asset Management Service has a supporting role  similar to those of Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.  Asset Management‘s customers are Council staff who provide services to Spelthorne residents from the land or property the Council owns. It is the responsibility of Asset Management to know what is owned, how much all the land and property costs to maintain and whether or not it makes a constuctuve contribution to what we do. From this we make decisions on what improvements or investments are made, what planned maintenance is needed and what we recommend is bought or sold This is achieved in partnership with the senior managers responsible for providing services to the public. The responsibility for planning what we do with our land belongs to the Environment Services team and the responsibility for the maintenance of the land belongs to the Streetscene team. Asset Management are responsible for planning what we do with building and we are also responsible for keeping them well maintained and safe. The responsibility for the day to day upkeep of the buildings belongs to the Streetscene team

We can tell from our mapping system what is owned by Spelthorne Council.We have plans to make this information available online for customers in 2008-9 but in the meantime, please e-mail asset.management@spelthorne.gov.uk or contact Asset management administration on 01784-446236 Q. I live in (for example) in 24 Acacia Avenue, does the Council own the land opposite? A. As above please contact Asset Management Administration. Q Can I rent some grazing land? A. There is a waiting list for grazing land, but you may apply by contacting Asset Management Administration as above Q. Does the Council lease a certain property out to a third party, and who are they? A. This is a question which the Asset Management Administration team can answer- please contact as above Q There is a fault or damage to a building that is owned by the Council, what should I do?
