There are a variety of organisations that offer members of the public and businesses grants or affordable loans to encourage the improvement of premises. These can range from increasing the level of insulation and energy saving measures to help with installing micro-generation technologies.
Climate Energy Climate Energy can provide discounted home insulation. See Insulation grants Action Surrey Action Surrey offers advice to residents; schools and businesses on how to reduce energy and water consumption. They also manage a network of trusted, local and experienced installers who can install insulation, replace boilers and are expects in solar and other microgeneration technology. You can visit Action Surrey at www.actionsurrey.org (external website) Renewable heat premium payment DECC is giving money off green heaters: The Premium Payment Scheme with be run by the Energy Saving Trust. Energy Saving TrustThe Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation, funded both by government and the private sector. We are one of the UK's leading organisations set up to address the damaging effects of climate change and we have offices in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Our aim is to cut emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) by promoting the sustainable and efficient use of energy.
The Energy Saving Trust provide impartial information and advice and have a network of advice centres in the UK specifically designed to help people take action.
The Carbon Trust The Carbon Trust provides interest free loans to invest in energy saving projects such as improved lighting, boilers or insulation.
