From 1 September 2006 the Local Planning Authority is changing the way it deals with applications which require a legal agreement. These changes aim to improve the speed with which we are able to deal with such applications, as well as providing more information at pre-application stage to assist developers. An information pack is available which gives clear guidance on the reason for the change, flowcharts setting out the revised processes in both planning and legal services, a useful checklist for developers, and a series of maters templates for various types of S106 agreements. Should you have any additional queries regarding these changes please contact either Paul Underwood, Assistant Head of Planning (Development Control) or Heather Morgan, Head of Planning and Housing Strategy.
