It is an initiative of the British Heart Foundation and the Countryside Agency, with funding from the New Opportunities fund and sponsorship from KIA Cars. The initiative aims to improve the health and fitness of more than a million people, especially those who do little exercise. Where is my nearest day centre?There are a total of four day centres within the Borough, each offering a wide range of activities, social outings and holidays to help you make the most of your retirement. The centres are open to retired residents of the borough and are completely free to joint. The centres can be found in Ashford, Shepperton, Stanwell and Charlton. There is also a Community Centre in Staines that offers day centre facilities.
