Spelthorne Sports Council is a forum for representatives of sports clubs and they currently have 50 clubs representing over 20 sports. The purpose of the Sports Council is to represent the interests of sport in Spelthorne.  We help fund the Sports Council which allows them to award grants to clubs for equipment and to individuals of outstanding ability to assist with the cost of training and competitions. Grant recipients must be members of the Sports Council. The Spelthorne Sports Council helps organise the annual sports awards. It is represented on the Spelthorne Leisure Centre Customer forum and is consulted on sports matters by us. Membership of Spelthorne Sports Council is open to all clubs based in the Borough and those based outside the Borough with a significant proportion of its membership within Spelthorne. There is an annual membership fee.
