Service: Bus Passes
Responsible Authority: Spelthorne Borough Council
Service Area: Travel Concessions and Bus Passes
Description: The Council is responsible for issuing the English National Concessionary Bus Permit for the over 60's and disabled residents of the Borough as part of a scheme administered by Surrey County Council. There is no charge for the issue of pass which entitles the holder to free bus travel throughout England between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and anytime at weekends and Bank Holidays. Please note that passes can be used on journeys starting in the majority of Surrey from 9.00am to 11.00pm Monday to Friday for the 60+ pass and anytime for disabled passes. The passes are valid for up to five years. New applicants can download the application form on this site and bring it to the Council Offices during normal opening hours together with proof of age or disability and proof of residency in Spelthorne. You must also provide a recent, colour, passport style photograph. Your new national pass will be issued by post. At current levels of demand we anticipate that you should receive your pass within five working days after receipt of your application.
