Description: Structure Plans are prepared by County Councils and set the strategic framework for land use planning in the county. Structure Plans are being phased out, to be replaced by a combination of Regional Plans and Local Development Frameworks. Until the new plans are in place Structure Plans will remain relevant. The latest version covering Spelthorne is the Surrey Structure Plan, 2004.
