Planning Duty Rota
A planning officer will be available to deal with planning enquiries by telephone between the hours of 10am - 12 noon and 2pm - 4pm Monday to Friday.

They will also be available for meetings without an appointment between the following times:

Monday:       10am - 12 noon
Wednesday:  2pm - 4pm
Friday:          10am - 12 noon

This service is intended primarily for local residents, and their agents, who seek advice on the need for planning permission for extensions to their property and whether planning permission will be forthcoming.

Verbal advice will also be given:
  • on other householder proposals.
  • to help understand submitted plans and how to make comments on planning applications
  • to small businesses on minor proposals to their premises which do not create additional floorspace (e.g. the need for advertisement consent)
The Council charges for written pre-application advice and meetings relating to non-householder proposals.    Please see our webpage on pre-application advice which includes a standard form to complete.
