Spelthorne Development Plan - Preferred Options
The consultation on Spelthorne Development Plan - Preferred Options is now closed.  The report on the Preferred Options Consultation (Pdf 1.4mb) is now available.  We invited comments on two Development Plan Documents (DPDs) between 4 May 2006 to 15 June 2006.  You can view/download the documents by clicking on the links below.

       1.    Spelthorne Development Plan - Strategy and Policies (Preferred Options) – This sets out the ‘core strategy’ of the new plan with vision and objectives for the Borough and includes all development control policies.

       2.    Spelthorne Development Plan - Proposals (Preferred Options) – This sets out all site specific proposals (including proposed housing sites).

A Sustainability Appraisal report was prepared in parallel with the above documents, it contains an assessment of them against a set of social, environmental and economic objectives.

There are also number of background documents which have informed the Development Plan Documents.

This consultation followed an earlier consultation carried out in September 2005.  A report on the September - November 2005 consultation entitled 'Report on the Issues and Options Consultation' has been produced.

We also invited comments on Supplementary Planning Documents which will expand on policies already set out in the development plan documents.  Unlike development plan documents these are not subject to independent examination.
