Your housing options There are a range of housing options including owner occupied properties, staying at home with your family, private rented and social housing (renting from a Housing Association).  Social housing is not the right option for everyone as there is a long wait before you are offered a property and many people on the Housing Register will never receive an offer of accommodation.
