Local Development Framework Submission documents
The period for making representations on the submission documents ended on 2 August 2007. The Council submitted two Development Plan Documents (DPDs) to the Secretary of State on 14 June 2007 prepared as part of its new Local Development Framework. The Core Strategy and Policies DPD, sets out the Council’s overall approach to future development in Spelthorne, together with its detailed policies to control development. The Allocations DPD, contains proposals for allocating specific sites for particular types of development. The Submission Proposals Map, shows changes from the Local Plan Proposals Map.

The submitted documents will be subject to an independent examination before an inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. The inspector has the power to make changes to the documents before they are finally adopted.
The period for making representations has now ended.

A Sustainability Appraisal Report has been produced in parallel with the Development Plan Documents. It contains an assessment of them against economic, environmental and social objectives.
