Local Development Framework
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires all local planning authorities to produce a new type of plan for their area called a Local Development Framework (LDF).  This replaces the previous Structure and Local Plan system.  The framework includes a number of different of documents which include Development Plan Documents (DPDs), Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs), a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), an Annual Monitoring Report and a Local Development Scheme.
