National Playday!

Spelthorne Borough Council held a free event in the Memorial Gardens in Staines on Wednesday 4 August 2010 to help celebrate National Playday.

Visitors to the event enjoyed the sea-side theme which included donkey rides, Punch and Judy, sand and water play, dance mats, a bouncy castle, face painting and arts and crafts activities. Hundreds of families and children enjoyed the free activities despite the changeable weather.

National Playday operates is in association with Play England and is an annual event to encourage play for the under fives. Homestart Spelthorne and Buckland Sure Start Children’s Centre supported the event.
