Youth Awards 2009
Over fifty young people from Spelthorne were rewarded by their contemporaries for their contribution to the Spelthorne community at the 2009 Spelthorne Youth Awards held on Saturday 9 May.

Paralympic Gold medallist Danny Crates was the guest speaker for the evening and, together with Deputy Mayor Cllr Caroline Spencer, presented 56 young people with Certificates of Achievements and nine young people with Achievement Awards and a cheque for £50.

The seventh Spelthorne Youth Awards were organised by the Spelthorne Youth Council with support from Andy Holdaway, Youth and Arts Manager at Spelthorne Council.  Entertainment was provided by young dancers and singers from the Urban Dance School and Staines Stagecoach Theatre School.
