New design for Junior Citizen Handbook
Published 14.07.2008 15:27
A new cover (Pdf 915kb) for the Junior Citizen Handbook has been designed by Libby Rose from St. Ignatius RC School, Sunbury on Thames.

She was the winner in a recent Primary Schools competition to design a new front cover for the Spelthorne Junior Citizen handbook.

Her prize is an art set and for St. Ignatius School £100, funded by Spelthorne Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership.

Spelthorne Junior Citizen is sponsored by British Airways and J Sainsbury and covers many aspects of home and personal safety through interactive ‘hands on’ learning with instruction given by experts in their field. It is an annual event involving all Year 6 (10-year old) children in the Borough and the handbook complements the training they receive and gives an opportunity for the schools to follow it up.

Cllr Frank Ayers, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety commented:

“My congratulations to Libby. Her winning design perfectly captures the important safety messages that Spelthorne Junior Citizen is designed to deliver.”
