Warden scheme in Stanwell
Published 02.02.2010 11:53
The Council is aware of concerns regarding the future of the Warden scheme in Stanwell.

The position is that the Council is currently considering the possibility of merging the role of Community Warden with the role of Neighbourhood Supervisor for Stanwell.  The latter is one of four new posts created by the Council to improve the Streetscene and environment and our overall engagement with the community across the Borough.  Some of the core roles that the Warden currently undertakes would remain and others will be reviewed. If the new role proceeds, Mick Raynor will remain highly visible and active within the community and would have the support of and be part of a wider Borough-wide team.

Discussions are currently ongoing about the precise nature of the new post and no firm decision will be made until consultations with Mick Raynor and other relevant parties are concluded.

The Council remains totally committed to working with and supporting the community in Stanwell.
