Sing Spelthorne
Published 30.06.2011 11:31
Have you seen the recent television programme about the new phenomenon of community rock choirs? Would you be interested in joining a similar choir? Then the Sing Spelthorne community choir may be for you and new members are always welcome.

The free weekly sessions take place at Brooklands College in Ashford on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Come along and hear the most amazing sound you’ll hear this year – the sound of your own voice.

It is open to all ages (children must be supervised) and abilities so complete beginners are more than welcome and you won’t have to audition or sing on your own - the aim is just to have a good time. The choir sings a huge variety of songs ranging from rock to pop, gospel to blues, folk to classical.

Councillor Forbes-Forsyth, Cabinet Member for Youth, Parks and Leisure said: “Singing in a choir is such a joy. Not only will you benefit from singing and performing, you will meet a new group of friends too”.

This community activity is supported and funded by Spelthorne Council and Arts Partnership Surrey. For more information please call Leisure Services on 01784 446433 or e-mail leisure@spelthorne.gov.uk
