  2004 Audit Report of Crime and Disorder in Spelthorne
The purpose of this audit was to assemble the necessary evidence on community safety, social conditions and risk factors in order to identify the priorities on which the 2005/08 Strategy should be based. It also includes a review of progress made under the current Strategy, which remains in place until April 2005.

The 1998 Crime and Disorder Act placed a duty on local authorities and police forces to form Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRP1) to tackle key community safety issues. There are eleven CDRPs in Surrey, based on borough and district areas.  The 1998 Act requires CDRPs to undertake an audit of crime and disorder in their area.

The audit requirements set out in the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act have since been extended to include specifically strategies for combating the misuse of drugs, Anti-social behaviour and domestic violencestrategies.
