The Crime and Disorder Partnership has successfully developed a network of CCTV cameras across the Borough to reassure residents and retailers alike that that we will do whatever we can to reduce the incidents of crime and disorder.
The contributions of retailers in some of the schemes has assisted greatly towards the overall cost to ensure an effective monitoring and recording system.
Mobile CCTV Cameras are deployed in 'hot spots' around the Borough. The feasibility of extending these systems where appropriate and funding is available is being explored.
- there are 22 permanent CCTV cameras in Staines.
- there is one permanent CCTV camera in Stanwell.
- there are three permanent CCTV cameras in Ashford.
- other CCTV installations are operational in Lower Sunbury and Ashford Common.
- there is also a CCTV camera in the Walled Garden in Lower Sunbury.
- a new CCTV network has been installed in Stainash Parade, Knowle Green.
- a new CCTV network is being installed in Shepperton High Street.
