The Health Action Zone initiative ran from 1999-2003. These were partnerships between the NHS, local authorities, the voluntary and private sectors and local communities. Launched by the Government, the HAZ initiative was concerned with new ways of tackling health inequalities in some of the most deprived areas in England. |
