| Description: |
Spelthorne is required to monitor and assess the air quality in its borough and predict the air quality of the future. The whole of the borough of Spelthorne has been declared an Air Quality Management Area. Environmental Health regulates industrial processes with respect to emissions to air; monitors nitrogen dioxide at fixed locations to assess the effect of pollution from vehicle exhaust; and enforces against statutory nuisance with respect to smoke, odour, and dust. |
