  Housing application form - documents needed
 
  When an applicant completes a Housing Application form to join the Housing Register, verification documents must be provided to accompany the form. If an application form is received without the required documentation or the form is incomplete, it cannot be fully assessed and the applicant will be unable to bid for properties until this has been provided.

Proof of identification (provide one of the following for each applicant):

  • a full birth certificate
  • a driver's licence with photo ID
  • a passport
Please note if a member of the application is pregnant we will require any hospital letters or doctors letters to confirm this status.

Proof of employment, income and savings (provide one of the following for each applicant):

  • a letter from your employers
  • a P60 or P45
  • a bank or building society statement or book
  • benefit books or proof of benefit claims
  • wage slips
Proof of eligibility if a non UK Citizen (provide one of the following for each applicant):

  • a passport
  • travel or immigration documents
  • confirmation that you receive Income Support/JSA/other benefits
  • certificate/card of workers registration scheme
  • a National Insurance card or number
Proof of residence for the last three years (provide a total of three documents from the list below (one for each of the last three years) for each applicant):

  • official letters or documents showing the addresses you have lived at in the last three years (for example, utility bills or tenancy agreements)
  • medical cards
  • bank statements
  • letters from your employers
  • Council Tax documents
