The Pollution team get involved with tackling issues of land contamination; air quality; controlling emissions to air and water from various industrial processes such as dry cleaners, petrol filling stations and vehicle resprayers; smoke and odour complaints; licensing of motor salvage operators and scrap metal dealers; and acting as a consultee to the Local Planning Authority on a range of environmental issues. We also respond to requests for environmental information, often in connection with buying property.
