Allotments introduction

The popularity of allotments has increased in recent years with more recognition of the opportunity to produce your own cheap, freshly grown food and escape, for a short time, from the stresses of everyday life.

Taking on your own allotment plot can allow you to:

Grow your own fruit and vegetables!
Have some valuable outdoor exercise and stress relief, keeping you fit in both body and mind
Make new friends and interact with a diverse range of people

Within Spelthorne there are 13 allotment sites owned by the Council, covering nearly 20 hectares. 11 of the sites are directly managed by the Council and one site is self-management.

There are also two privately run allotment sites in the Borough.
