The Mayor of Spelthorne, Cllr Sam Budd, will be visiting shops in Staines on Wednesday 25 January to raise awareness of the forthcoming Mayor’s Charity Ball.
The Mayor is hoping that a number of the shops will be able to offer sponsorship or raffle prizes for the Mayor’s Charity Ball which is being held on Saturday 31 March to raise money for the following local charities:-
- Spelthorne Young Voices – a community based youth choir based at St Peter’s Church in Staines
- The Penrose Club – a social club for adults with special needs
- reStore – a food-bank project run by St Saviour’s Church in Sunbury
The Mayor will be accompanied by local councillors, Cllr Christine Bannister and Cllr Gerald Forsbrey.
