	Housing Benefits overpayments Overpayments are notified to the claimant by letter, which has details regarding the right of appeal printed on the reverse of that letter. An invoice may be sent out with some letters. If the invoice is sent to the landlord for repayment, the claimant will be notified of this on the letter. In some cases, overpayments are recovered from ongoing benefit.
