Spelthorne Borough Council Return to Normal View
Delegated Executive Decisions Taken by Portfolio Holders

The decisions of the Executive are now in a substantially different form from previous minutes. The change is to recognise that as from the 1st September, 2001, Spelthorne has an Executive under the Local Government Act 2000. It is a different legal animal from a committee under the Local Government Act 1972 and different rules apply to how decisions are made and recorded. Certain information about executive decisions, whether made by the Executive collectively or by individual portfolio holders, has to be contained in the written record of the decision.

The new format for recording Executive decisions is designed to capture and record this information. These changes do not affect the Overview and Scrutiny Committees, Planning, Licensing or Standards Committees
