Spelthorne Borough Council Return to Normal View
  Planning Committee

  Next meeting 30 May 2012 at 6.45pm

The Planning Committee is a regulatory Committee, which has decision-making powers. It comprises 15 councillors and is responsible for making decisions on the bigger and more sensitive planning applications received by the Council.

The remaining applications (approximately 80% of those received), are determined by the Head of Planning and Housing Strategy on behalf of the Council, under what are known as delegated powers.

How both officers and councillors deal with planning applications is set out in the Planning Code.  Certain sections of this document relate to what will happen at the meeting.

The Planning Committee is scheduled to meet every four weeks on a Wednesday evening at 6.45pm. The meetings are held in the Council Chamber and are open to the public.

You are welcome to attend this Committee and listen to the debate, or you can speak directly to the councillors (Pdf 40kb) who make the decisions on planning applications.
