	Spelthorne Together Assembly 2008 - Report
	The annual Assembly meeting of the Local Spelthorne Partnership (LSP), now known as Spelthorne Together, took place on 15 September 2008 at Spelthorne Leisure Centre. The annual assemblies are an opportunity for representatives from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to network, to share information and ideas, and to take forward the work to improve life in Spelthorne. It is the only event in Spelthorne to bring together such a wide variety of people to have their say on key issues affecting life in the Borough. The vision and plans for Spelthorne as agreed by Spelthorne Together are set out in the Community Plan (2005 – 2015) with updated targets/priorities for 2008–2010 published recently around the six themes: Safer Spelthorne Young People’s Spelthorne Getting Around Spelthorne Healthy Spelthorne Thriving Spelthorne Learning Spelthorne The main part of the day concentrated on the detail of the five main geographica areas of Spelthone – Staines/Shepperton/Stanwell/Ashford/Sunbury – with a view to considering the main challenges facing them and how by working together we can improve them.
