Payments for hall and football pitch bookings, bulky waste, building control, taxi licences and car park permits for the disabled can also be made using these facilities. Select the 'Other Payments' option.
To pay your Garden Waste invoice or any other service where an invoice has been issued, please select the Sales Ledger Invoices option.
It is also possible to request some Council services and pay for them online via the On-line Services page.
Is it safe?
All online card payments are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits, which is the highest level commercially available. Your payment card details are directly processed by the Payment Management Division of Capita Software Services, a leading provider of secure online payments services to local government, and are not collected nor accessible by the Council. Capita Software Services’ online payment management solutions are independently and rigorously security assessed, and are certified by Visa and MasterCard as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 payment processor. There is an additional fee payable for Council Tax and Business Rate payments by credit card. These are as follows:
2.6% for internet payments and telephone payments via an operator 2.3% for touchtone telephone payments This charge is subject to change.
We cannot accept liability for a payment not reaching the intended account due to a customer quoting an incorrect reference number. Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the card supplier.
If the card supplier declines payment the Council is under no obligation to bring this fact to the customer's attention. Customers should check with their bank/debit/credit card supplier that payment has been deducted from their relevant account.
If your payment is overdue and you have received a reminder, final notice or other recovery notice you should ensure the payment is received by the deadline date specified on that notice.
