Partnership Action Days | Spelthorne Safer Stronger Partnership

Partnership Action Days offer the public the chance to see how the Spelthorne Safer Stronger Partnership (Surrey Police, Spelthorne Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Surrey Fire and Rescue Services and Spelthorne Neighbourhood Watch) work together to tackle community safety issues such as crime and anti social behaviour.

These one-day events are held across Spelthorne every three months, visiting the towns of Ashford, Staines, Stanwell, Shepperton and Sunbury. The event offers residents and members of the business community the opportunity to talk to officers about local issues and access free information and advice about crime prevention, home security, personal safety, fire safety and health. Enforcement action such as speed checks, vehicle inspections, visits to licensed premises, truancy patrols, litter picks and graffiti removal also take place during the events.

TOGETHER, FIGHTING CRIME IN STANWELL

The next Spelthorne Safer Stronger Partnership Action Day will take place in Stanwell on Thursday 3 May 2012.

Partnership Action Days offer the public the chance to see how the various organisations involved in community safety, work together to tackle community safety issues such as crime and anti social behaviour. There is also an opportunity for the public to speak to representatives from organisations including, Surrey Police, Surrey County Council and Spelthorne Borough Council.

At this event, the Partnership will be working closely with Thomas Knyvett School in Ashford. Students will be taking part in activities alongside Surrey Police and other Partnership agencies carrying out a number of activities in the local area including litter picks, carrying out environmental audits, and speed watch.

The Partnership exhibition trailer will be visiting Thomas Knyvett School, staffed by Police and other Partnership Agency Officers, offering advice on home security, personal safety and crime prevention.

There will also be displays and information from other agencies including Age Concern UK, Spelthorne Personal Alarm Network, Surrey Probation Services and Spelthorne Neighbourhood Watch. These displays will be located outside of Sainsbury Store, Clare Road, Stanwell.
