To promote Surrey 50+ to ensure older people have the opportunity to get involved in planning, developing and monitoring services. |

To promote good practice in engagement at all levels of policy-making and service delivery |

To work in partnership with Health, District and Borough Councils, voluntary sector and other agencies to establish a coordinated approach to engagement |

To develop a Network we can use as a resource for consultation by partner agencies |

To support older people in developing local activities which help them to remain active members of their community |

To acknowledge the experience of older people in the community and to listen to their views and encourage and recognise their contribution |

To support the development of Surrey 50+ groups in each of the Borough and District Areas. |

To link the work of Surrey 50+ to the South East Older People s Advisory Group and to the national Better Government for Older People network |
