Surrey Police Face the People Meeting

Our vision: “To build a safer community”

Role of the Partnership

Each local area has to form a Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) and produce a strategy with actions aimed at tackling the key issues.  Spelthorne Safer Stronger Partnership (the "CDRP") comprises of Spelthorne Council, Surrey Police and Surrey County Council, who work in partnership with the Primary Care Trust, National Probation Service (Surrey), Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, Drug Action Team, Surrey Police Authority and other relevant partners.

Spelthorne, like all crime reduction partnerships, is required to have a strategy.  In order to produce it we consult residents to decide on priorities for action and plan to tackle them.  The Partnership also monitors progress of the actions arising out of the strategy.

Local Spelthorne Partnership and Community Plan

Spelthorne CDRP is responsible for delivering the "Safer Spelthorne" priority in the Local Spelthorne Partnership's Community Plan.  It will do so through its Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy (2005-08).  It is one of the thematic partnerships that develop and monitor action plans relating to particular sections of the Community Plan and feed back to the LSP Executive.

Other work

In addition, the Spelthorne Safer Stronger Partnership (SSSP) worked with others to develop and deliver the following strategies:
