Direct Debit

The Council offers four payment dates on the 1, 8, 15 and 22 of the month. You can print off and complete the direct debit instruction (Word 113kb) and return via the post.  Alternatively you can complete the online form.

Telephone

By touchtone telephone using our lo-call number 0845 602 0727. Payment can be made anytime.

Alternatively payment by telephone can be made by contacting Customer Services on 01784 451499 between 8am-6pm Monday to Thursday (8am-5pm Friday).

Please note that there is an additional fee payable for payments by credit card as follows:

2.6% for internet payments or telephone payments via an operator
2.3% for touchtone telephone payments

This charge is subject to change

Please have your Council Tax account reference to hand (this is nine digits long) as well as your debit or credit card.

Standing Order

Complete a Standing Order form instructing your bank to pay the Co-operative Bank account number 61021918, sort code 08-90-34. Always quote your Council Tax reference number found on your bill. It is the Council Tax payer's responsibility to ensure that the Standing Order is paid on time for the right amount.

Post Office and Paypoint outlets

Payment can be made at most Post Offices by cash/cheque or Paypoint outlets by cash only if your bill has a barcode printed on it. There is no fee for this service.

By post - cheques only

All cheques should be made payable to Spelthorne Borough Council crossed 'A/C Payee Only' and sent with a completed instalment slip to the
Cashiers Office,
Spelthorne Borough Council , PO Box 290, Staines TW18 1UX.

Note: If a receipt is not required, only send a completed instalment slip with your cheque, and remember to write your Council Tax reference number on the back of the cheque.

If a receipt is required please ensure a stamped addressed envelope is sent with the completed instalment slip and your cheque.

Alternatively, cheque payments can be posted in either the external letter box at the Council Offices or in the internal box which is opposite main reception.

Please do not send cash by post or post cash in the external or internal letter boxes at the Council Offices

If you do not have a Bank or Building Society account and find the above payment options difficult please contact the Council Tax staff on 01784 451499.
