Description: Voluntary Action in Spelthorne is an umbrella body for the charitable and voluntary organisations throughout the Borough of Spelthorne. It is a registered charity that aims to:Bring together community groups and represent their collective view. Enable community groups to speak with one “voice” that will be heard. To open up channels of communication between voluntary organisations and statutory bodies. To encourage the involvement of voluntary organisations, users and carers in the process of Community Care Planning. Voluntary Action in Spelthorne (VAIS) supports the voluntary sector by providing advice and information, supporting the formation of new groups and by eliminating duplications through information sharing. You can find information regarding charity events through the community notice board, lesirue events and the Mayor's page.
