Climate change - facts and figures
| Carbon emissions refer to gaseous carbon dioxide, a by-product associated with a lot of human actions. Anything that requires energy such as electricity, transport and food and goods production will have produced carbon dioxide in its manufacture. In industrialised nations it makes up 80% of the greenhouse gas emissions. The growing population and the increased individual lifestyle demands mean that these emissions are accelerating at an alarming rate. |

Climate change is happening and some damage has already been done. But everything we do now will serve to reduce the impacts and slow the changes we experience. Climate change can be addressed through many day-to-day actions that are quick and simple to implement, most of them will save you money too! Everything that saves energy saves carbon dioxide from being released. |
