| The majority of grass verges adjacent to carriageways, are within the public highway and therefore come under the responsibility of the County Council as the Highway Authority. The County Council is required to keep these verges safe and unobstructed, to ensure this happens Spelthorne Borough Council manage the grass cutting programme on behalf of the County alongside its network of carriageways and footways to ensure that its verges are kept tidy and safe for the public. |
