ExtraCare housing

A self-contained home in a secure and caring environment where individuals can live independently but with the level of support they need.

It offers personal care and support, 24 hours a day, with services including a restaurant, a communal lounge, a laundry, lifts, hairdressing, guest rooms and gardens. Bathrooms will have equipment for assisted bathing.  There may also be other facilities, e.g. a day centre, offering a range of activities for older people.

It is usually for people over age 60 and can be an excellent choice for a couple where one person is caring for the other.  A mix of one and two bedroom, self-contained flats are available. They will be for rent, sale or part-buy part-rent (shared ownership).

If you would like more information about ExtraCare housing, please contact 01784 446254.

Sheltered housing

Sheltered housing (external website) is rented accommodation provided by A2Dominion Housing Group (external website) for applicants aged 60+ who would like to remain independent but prefer the added security that sheltered housing offers.
